With the introduction of Invisalign® tooth aligners in 1999, achieving a straighter smile became a much more comfortable, convenient, and discreet process. Unlike traditional metal braces, Invisalign® aligners address tooth alignment issues without the drawbacks of metal brackets and wires.

Invisalign® Treatment

Invisalign® aligners are custom-made with the aid of three-dimensional modeling software. This system can generate a series of clear braces that perfectly fit over your teeth as they are gradually moved into the desired position. Virtually invisible and measuring less than a millimeter thick, these aligners can help you achieve a natural-looking smile discreetly.

In addition to the aesthetic advantages of Invisalign® over traditional braces, there are a number of other reasons why they are frequently preferred over metal braces. These invisible braces are more comfortable as they are especially designed to fit your teeth. Most users find Invisalign® a lot more convenient than their metal counterparts. They can be removed every time you eat and brush your teeth, so maintaining good oral hygiene is much easier.

Invisalign® can effectively correct a variety of dental imperfections, such as teeth overcrowding, uneven or wide spaces between the teeth, and crooked or misaligned teeth. They are also used to correct bite problems like overbites and underbites. However, in severe cases of teeth misalignment or bite problems, Invisalign® may not work well. It’s best to consult your dentist to determine if this procedure is the right one for you.

The length of full treatment depends on the severity of your case. On average, Invisalign® treatment may last between 6 to 12 months. The aligners are changed about every two weeks and are worn for 20 to 22 hours a day for best results.  Dental visits are scheduled every four to six weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as expected.
