Morristown, NJ — According to the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC), sleep apnea is a condition that affects nearly 18 million Americans, 10 million of which have not been diagnosed. Sleep apnea is an obstructive sleep disorder that can lead to more significant health-related complications such as heart attack and stroke, and AARC studies also show that people affected by sleep apnea stop breathing up to 30 times or more in one night.
