Drs. Edward Romano and Matthew Vaccaro explain how the 2014 American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) conference can help improve their practice.
Morristown, NJ – More than a thousand dental professionals from around the country attended the 2014 American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry Conference in Orlando, Florida. Dr. Edward Romano and Dr. Matthew Vaccaro, the dentists of Aesthetic Smiles of New Jersey, reflect on the five-day conference, noting the focus was on the latest advancements in dental technology and was a celebration of the organization’s 30th anniversary. Dr. Romano believes the additional information gathered from the AACD conference can ultimately benefit the quality of their patient care.
A blog post published on their website, titled, “The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry Celebrates 30 Years,” reveals more details about the dentists’ experience at the conference. Dr. Romano says the theme, “Educate, Inspire, Connect,” was highlighted with a display of the major advancements in dentistry over the past three decades. Both New Jersey dentists enjoy networking with others in the dental field and stopping at the different educational booths displayed at the event.
Dr. Vaccaro says conferences like this are a prime opportunity for dentists to further their continuing education. Participants can choose from a variety of classes, exhibits, and accreditation workshops. Dr. Romano also reports that there was a live demonstration, which was a first for the organization.
Both dentists appreciate AACD conferences because they can expand their dental knowledge and meet other professionals in one convenient location. “It also allows us to retain our competitive edge by continually discovering new ways to increase our level of patient care,” says Dr. Romano.
